I cannot believe that three years has passed since Buster came to stay for a few weeks during a COVID lockdown. When his forever home was eventually found I begged to keep him and the rest is history.
He loves running off lead ; rummaging about in the undergrowth (probably looking for a pheasant) so we walk miles each day. He has become much braver when meeting other dogs and has learned that if I go out I will return. I think he likes it when I leave him because he can sleep with both eyes closed.
He is sleeping soundly tonight after his morning run with his spaniel friends and a good swim in Linmere. Both vet and groomer adore him and have commented on his is excellent health and good looks now that he is the correct weight.
If only I could follow his example!

I am so sad to say we have lost our wonderful Peg. We collected her from your kennels at Stoke in 2007 and have had 16 fantastic years with her. She has been on every holiday with us and enjoyed farm sitting with us. Her temperament was great and 5 grandchildren enjoyed play with her.
Sadly she became very confused but we coped with that, but then her legs became weaker and weaker and she was getting stressed about being immobile.
It was an awful decision but we had to do our best for her
Miss her terribly but so grateful to have had her in our lives and she’ll always be in our hearts.

We are getting on a bit now, but still have our two beautiful dogs. Mum (Mitch - 10) and son (Charlie - 6). Mitch came from Newflame Gundogs, in Derbyshire as a pup, and never really showed the slightest interest in serious training - not that we wanted to work her - but we had to have a dog with intelligence. In her 3rd year we had her mated back into her bloodline (having ensured all the protocols of breeding co efficients) and she eventually had 12, yes twelve pups. 11 survived but the last born had a cleft palate, which prevented suckling, and she passed away after 4 days. 11 young hungry, active, and energetic babies needed constant attention, and supplementary feeding, and many sleepless nights!
Our vet had several opportunities to check up on the families' progress, and the last visit she remarked that - she had been a vet for 37 years,vand no-one had ever presented her with a litter of pups like these. She further commented that " this is what you get when you do the job properly!" Praise indeed. All pups were sold to people from Anglesey, Clitheroe(2), Lytham St Anne's, Bracknell(2), Halewood, Preston, one we kept and two more went to Northampton/ Leicestershire, but they were never paid for. We had manyong wasted contacts with this couple, but to no avail. Later on we noticed that the two dogs, Smudge and Darcy, no longer appeared on her Facebook page but had been replaced by a French bulldog. This prompted me to demand to know where "my two dogs were?" Eventually we traced Darcy through Kennel club registration change, but we never could, or did find Smudge. Firstly we were told that she had been re- homed with a country family in Gloucestershire, which later changed to an equestrian centre in Yorkshire, but she flatly refused to give me the name. Darcy had found a very good home, and had settled in with a very genuine lady who kept Alpacas, but even she did not know what happened to "Smudge".
I noticed a recent posting about a Smudge and Loki being re- homed in Cumbria, and just wondered if, by any chance this was "my Smudge" originally? Could it be a twist of fate? I have kept in touch with all of the owners of this litter, and Smudge is the only one missing. It would be really good to know that she had found a really loving home and was having a good life. So you see, not all breeders are callous, money grabbers. Some of us "do the job properly" and even keep in touch after 6 years! For my own peace of mind I would be overjoyed to "find" the missing SMUDGE. If only,........

We are so upset to let you know ,we lost Shiloh today after 12 years of fun love and devotion .with the support of Mick and Rose Tree Farm we had a devoted a d wonderful dog from you and when we have grieved we will of course leave a gone up not forgotten for Shiloh(Milo)

I am heartbroken to let you know that I had to say goodbye to my lovely Sammie yesterday, and I miss him already.
Sammie had suffered from arthritis for some years, and when he began struggling to walk two weeks ago, the best I could hope for was that he was having a flare up. So I got him an extra session of acupuncture - he had been having acupuncture and hydrotherapy for a couple of years, to supplement his various anti inflammatory and pain relief medication- and took him to see my regular vet for a check up. But over the last few days he deteriorated despite three vet visits, and ended up at the emergency animal hospital on Thursday evening, where a scan showed the devastating news that he had a mass on his liver and on his lung. No wonder my poor boy was so poorly. Up to the last two days he had eaten as normal, cadging whatever treats he could as well. Then he had gone off his food and I knew things weren’t good.

I’d left him in their care overnight, but the call came at 1am that the situation was as bad as it could be and I needed to let him go. So I went to spend a few minutes telling him I loved him, before he passed away.

I am so grateful for having him in my life. We were a team, I rarely left him, and never more than a couple of hours or so, and was always as pleased to see him on my return, as he was to see me. We had a couple of short holidays to dog friendly hotels, but when at home walked on the moors every day, come rain or shine. He loved water, mud, flushing birds out of the heather, and any treats his big saucer eyes could win him from his various human friends.

Thank you for letting him come to live with me. My home won’t be the same without him, and my settee is empty without him snuggled up beside me.

I adopted Charlie a b/w springer in December 2010 he was 3rs old. From your Warrington kennels. He was a tall handsome lad who took to me like a duck to water. He loved playing ball and retrieving game on land or water. In his later years he got the dreaded arthritis but being a determined lad he carried on and still loved to play fetch if only for 10 min. I sadly had to say goodbye to him 29th August 2021. He was very much loved and I will be looking for another Springer shortly. Thankyou NESSA for the 11 years of his love and companion ship.

Back in February 2008 we collected two girls from a kennels in Warrington, adopted them through what was then West Mids Springer Spaniel Rescue. We lost Millie 4 years ago, and last week said goodbye to Ruby. Both reached the ripe old age of 15 years old and were fit and healthy until the last few months of their lives when old age took over. Millie was nicknamed Queenie as she had a topknot of curls and loved to sit on her big cushion, and Ruby was a tennis ball with a dog attached. Such loving dogs and we miss them both so much. Springers are just the best dogs xx

We adopted TOOKIE later renamed COOKIE late in 2010 aged 5, and it is with great sadness that we have to announce his passing on June 1st 2021 aged 16 years. He was much loved and will be sadly missed but he had a good innings and a happy life whilst he was with us. God bless.

It is with great sadness that I tell you that our beloved Springer Whiskey has crossed the rainbow bridge today. One of those rescued from a cellar with several other springers, he has been a scource of great joy to us in the - far too short time - we have been lucky to have him. Such a loving, gentle and sweet natured dog you would be hard to find after such bad start to his life. A huge hole is left in our lives now, may you rest well my lovely until we meet again.
