Alfie settles in

We were delighted and excited when NWESSR contacted us about adopting Alfie and were told about his various issues but on meeting him we were certain that all would be well, and it is!

We are very happy to have him with us.

Alfie has settled in well. He is such a gentle willing boy.

He was surprised to find cats here but has quickly made friends with Bisley our tom cat and is working on Mimi our hand reared she!

Alfie loves playing catch the ball as you can see and loves his walks.  We took him away to Newark on Trent for the May Bank Holiday in our caravan and he really enjoyed it, and thinks having us under the paw is great.

No, he doesn’t sleep on our bed, yet!!! August, and the Welsh beaches, here we come!!!!!

A few weeks after he joined us we took him to meet our family, socially distanced, and he was great with all the new faces.

They loved him, he was so friendly and calm.

There has been the odd issue but calm gentle and confident handling has worked wonders.

All the concerns about his medication have been overcome and he doing very well now.

Thank you so much for choosing us to give him his forever home, our house no longer feels empty.

Polly

We collected a very nervous Polly on the 25th Jan 2014.

She seemed to take to us straight away!

She was very unfit and a little underweight (not eating at the kennels) but our long walks soon got her fitness up.

She remains a little nervous with new men however very quickly settles.
She adores her family and we adore her!!

She is obsessed with retrieving and although she’s a springer- she has the mouth of a pit bull (we can see why she probably didn’t make the cut as a gun dog!)

She gets on with our other dog Murphy very well, and often nestles into his bed.

Many thanks for matching this very little springer with us! The Raschens
