Harry

Hi, just dropping you a line to let you know about the passing of our wonderful spaniel Harry. He was known to you as Jerry or NS-38. We renamed him Harry, as there was no way I was going to call him Jerry Springer!!

We got Harry from you in January 2010 as a companion for our older springer Monty.

Harry was diagnosed with canine dementia several months ago and had spondylosis in his lower spine which we discovered following a fall around 4 years ago. His general health had been in decline for a few months now and in his last month he had really started to slow down. We could tell he wasn’t happy and after consultation with the vet we decided to let him go rather than prolong his suffering.

The vet put him to sleep at home surrounded by all his familiar smells and toys.

He played a massive part in our lives as all our holidays were geared around him.  He became quite well travelled having visited the Lakes, Northumberland and Robin Hoods Bay.  Everywhere we went people knew his name because he would always disappear into any body of water chasing birds with us shouting Harreeeee Harreeeee as he disappeared out to sea!! Folk would always remark upon his good looks and I would like to think that reflected on me!

He will be hugely missed by us and has left a massive hole in our hearts.

Best wishes

Andy & Andrea Riley
