Sirius is a handsome 6-year-old liver and white Springer Spaniel, looking
for a home where he can truly relax and enjoy being a dog.
He thrives on human interaction and forms strong bonds with those around
him. Sirius is affectionate, gentle, and happiest when close to his people.
He settles well in a home environment and is friendly with visitors, often
carrying one of his 2 beloved soft toys for reassurance, when he feels
unsure or excited.
Sirius is intelligent, active, and strives hard to please. He really enjoys
gundog-style activities, retrieval games, scent work, and learning new
skills. He responds especially well to kind, reward-based training using
toys, food, clickers, and whistles.
Sirius has had some difficult experiences with other dogs after being
attacked on two separate occasions, which understandably left him feeling
worried around unfamiliar dogs while out walking. With patient training and
support, he has made excellent progress and is now able to socialise with
other dogs in controlled environments and at the park.
Sirius has been taught to walk well on the lead, but if something exciting
catches his attention he can be strong. His recall is improving well with
whistle training, although this remains a work in progress.
Sirius needs a patient, experienced home, willing to continue guiding him
with kindness, consistency, and understanding. Sometimes he can become a bit
overwhelmed if life becomes too busy or demanding too quickly, so he needs
adopters who can give him both structure and plenty of downtime. With the
right people around him, Sirius will truly flourish.
Sirius would be happiest in an adult-only, pet-free home with adopters who
can offer him mental stimulation, companionship, and a steady routine.
Kennel life does not suit Sirius, he needs to live alongside people who
appreciate his affectionate nature, intelligence, and huge potential.

Lottie is a lovely nine year old girl who is looking for a new home. Lottie was adopted from NWESSR when she was just two and has spent the last seven years living happily with her owner but sadly, he has now passed away and poor Lottie is once again needing someone to love her.
Lottie has lived with another dog and she is fine with dogs she knows, she ignores any other dogs she meets. She hasn’t lived with children. She enjoys her walks and has good recall, although she doesn’t wander far from her owner.
Lottie loves to play, especially with her ball and likes to retrieve. In the evening she has a little play, dropping her ball under furniture and asking you to join in and get the ball for her. She loves a tummy tickle and enjoys a cuddle.
Before coming to NWESSR as a young dog, Lottie had been through a lot of disruption in her previous life, this has caused her to be somewhat nervous in strange situations and it will take time for her to settle down and learn to trust.
We are looking for a loving, undemanding home, with someone who has the time and understanding to give this lovely little girl the space she needs, allow her to relax and let her delightful personality shine again.

Hello everybody! I am Olivia and I want to tell you about my new forever home.
My family are doing very well. I have taught them to throw my ball 🥎 lots and lots especially on our walks.
I wake them every morning by banging my tail on their bed and supervise mum filling my garden pool. Being a tad overweight they tend to hold back in the treats but, if I tilt my head to the left and flop my tongue out they melt at my cuteness and I get the treat 🤣
The little people pop in after school and entertain me by jumping on the trampoline, but I am encouraging more ball play 👍
My dad is a music teacher and I sit in the music room to wangle cuddles and adoration from the students, some who bring me toys 🤗 The music relaxes me so, when I am not chasing mum round the garden with my new ball I can chill in the music room, dreaming of good times ahead once I have mum and dad fully trained 🎶🎵🎶
I am one lucky girl and mum tells me they are lucky to have me. Of course they are 😁

To say that Arlo has been through some tough times would probably be the understatement of the year, but having gone from pillar to post recently, we are now happy to report that he is in his forever home – at last 🤎
Arlo spent some time in Springer School, learning to trust again and regain his confidence. He was a firm favourite with all our volunteers who worked so hard to help him on his way to a new home, and everyone was delighted when we found the right family, who bonded with him and decided they would like to adopt him.
Arlo still finds the world a scary place at times, but with the patience and understanding of his new family, he’s slowly but surely coming out of his shell.
Well done to everyone who helped him, his dog walkers and trainer, his new family, but most of all – well done Arlo 👏👏👏
Bella is a lovely, lively, eleven year old who is looking for her forever home.
She is a very active girl who needs lots of exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy.
At the moment Bella is walked twice a day for around 45 minutes but ideally she would benefit from longer walks and the opportunity to run off lead in a safe, secure area, to burn off her surplus energy. She also needs plenty of mental stimulation with sniffing games, retrieval and recall to treats.
Bella can be a little anxious at times when she meets other dogs, however we believe with the right handling this can be alleviated.
As with all NWESSR dogs who are over 10 years old at the time of adoption, Bella qualifies for our support with vets bills.

Five year old Bear’s owner’s describe him as a loving, loyal character with a big heart
Bear is a friendly boy who loves to play with a ball which he will drop on command, he seems to enjoy playing with children and will usually share his toys.
He loves his walks and being off lead and normally comes when he is called.
His new home should be pet free, as he has been living in a home with a number of other dogs and cats and he is finding this overwhelming. Bear was attacked by another dog as a youngster which has made him a little anxious.
As a young Springer, Bear is going to need an owner with the time and patience to bond with him and give him the exercise and mental stimulation he needs. When trust has been established the owner will be able to gradually give him the socialisation he has missed.
Bear is going to be a great friend and companion to his new family in the happy home he so deserves.

My brother Marley and I are both in our new homes, woohoo 🥳
It’s true that we were a ‘bit’ excited on Adoption Day and yes, I did eat all the biscuits, but a Springer’s got to do what a Springer’s got to do – all’s fair in love and gravy bones 🤣
Here I am with my best mate the Shetland pony, and relaxing after a day of fun.
Life is great 🤩and I am very happy, still a bit of a wild child, totally adorable and mad as a lorry load of frogs 🐸🐸🐸
Are you looking for a young, fun-loving, athletic boy, then meet Murphy.
This poor lad has had a tough beginning in his early months, starting life in a traveller camp, where we are told he was beaten and treated badly, especially by men. Hence, he can get a little nervous initially around people he doesn’t know. His present owners believe Murphy to be around two and a half years of age, they rescued him from the camp and gave him a home for just over a year. However, as they are in their mid-seventies, they have sadly decided to rehome him, as they are finding a young Springers energy levels too high to cope with on a daily basis.
Murphy, lives in the home with their other thirteen-year-old Springer, who growls at Murphy when he gets a bit too much. But he is not daft and gets the message and will soon back off. Murphy is fine with his neighbour a Pomeranian and he lives around horse’s, sheep and alpacas with no issue. Birds and chickens he will chase as most Springers are inclined to do. He is usually quite happy around the children allowing them to play with his toys.
Murphy needs an active home with people who will enjoy his companionship, while guiding Murphy with positive training.
He will need working on his recall, basic training and loose lead walking, so he can be safely off lead enjoying the fun he has missed out on so far. Murphy will be a fantastic outdoor companion for owners who love the outdoors.
Murphy is a boy who brings a smile to your face, he deserves a
home with people that can love and nurture him and they will be rewarded with affection love and lots of bounce.

Sam is nine and a half years old and has lived with his present owner for the past seven years.
He is a friendly, well behaved boy, who’s described as a real ” people person ”
He’s good at the vets and calm at the groomers, both say he’s a lovely dog! He enjoys his walks, is ok with other dogs and loves visitors.
Sam was fine being left alone until 10 months ago when he had a panic attack while the owner was out. We believe something must have frightened him and he couldn’t get to his safe space. Since this incident he becomes anxious when left alone and his new family will need to be patient while teaching him that he is safe and that they will always return.
NWESSR will give support and advice to his new family while he settles in and learns to trust again.

Hi folks, Marley here with news of Another Happy Ending!
You might remember me and my brother Milo – we were the youngsters looking for new homes in May.
After our appeal went live, so many people applied to adopt us that the NWESSR team had a very difficult job to pick out the perfect homes for us, but it didn’t take long until they had chosen our forever families 💝💝
On adoption day, we were very excited to meet our new families, but we soon calmed down and they could see past the giddy kippers to the handsome, clever and adorable boys that we are. I was a bit cross that Milo went first and ate nearly all the Adoption Day Biscuits, but that’s a small price to pay really isn’t it? 🤣🤣
Anyway, now I live near the coast and I go on the beach, which is Springer Heaven! I live with a cat and we get on really well, and my best friend is a sausage dog – he’s only got little legs but we have a great time playing together 🥳
After a busy day, playing, running and training, I like to relax in style – doing The Big Springer Sprawl!
