About Buddy

 

Buddy is a handsome 13 year old liver and white boy, from a working strain. Please do not let Buddy’s age put you off as this lovely lad is still active, and anyone familiar with springers knows how much life springers  have left even in later age 13. Sadly, he is coming into NWESSR’s care owing to a relationship breakdown. We are desperate for him not to have to come into kennels as this is clearly not ideal for an older boy who needs to be spoiled. Buddy is very keen for love and attention and his new owners who will have to have time to spend with him.

 

Type of home needed 

Buddy wants a lovely retirement home where he can be the centre of your life. He needs a home with an individual/family who can give him plenty of affection, stimulation and exercise and that will be relatively quiet. He is good on the lead and has good recall once he is used to you, but obviously he is no longer up for the long walks he used to love.  We think that Buddy would ideally prefer a home free of other dogs, though he has lived with dogs and usually settles  once he is used to them and he will likely be ok with cats. He is neutered, house trained and happy to be left for a couple of hours and likes to travel in the car. If you have a place for this lovely boy in your home, in  return you will have a loving companion without the madness a young springer can entail. Buddy will be available on our long term foster scheme, meaning NWESSR will cover any vet bills Buddy incurs.
