Pippin Williams

Last September was very sad for the Williams family, as it was time for Pippin to say goodbye.
Since we picked Pippin up from you years ago, what an asset he was to our home. The first night was an introduction to our cat Bluey. The cat just sat there and looked totally bemused. They got along really well in the end.
On the way home we picked up some things we thought that he would need, and the lead had gone slack and I thought he had gone, but I hadn’t realised that we were stood by a box of cooked bones, and he was gnawing on one!!!!! The first time he was introduced to water I panicked, but I needn’t have bothered, he took to it like a duck to water.  He was quite a protector, especially in the early mornings on our walks in the park, he would stand between me and whoever and bark and would go close and warn them off.  He loved the caravan, especially the picture window, once he was looking out and I could hear children saying “look at the sad dog, aw doesn’t he look sad”, and they were coming closer, and he growled he didn’t move, he just stayed where he was. The time he was chased across the field by a ginger three-legged cat with his tail between His legs, that was a sight
to see.
I could see His back legs were going, but something else was amiss, the vet wanted to do lots of things, I was scared that he would open him up and say he couldn’t do anything, so we agreed that with his age we would make him comfortable, he survived another 15 months. My little shadow has now gone over the rainbow bridge, gone but not far from our hearts and thoughts. We have many happy memories about our Pippin, it was the previous owner’s loss, making the decision to put him up for adoption, but I think we had the best deal he turned out to be a good companion a fantastic funny dog.
