■ Hasn’t lived with other dogs

■ Hasn’t lived with cats

■ Fearful of certain noises

■ May growl if feeling trapped or uncomfortable

■ Affectionate and craves attention

■ Good off lead if few distractions

■ Likes playing ball and retrieving
