Nessie, 1 year old, adopted in December 2021

Adopted in December, Nessie had become excluded within her owner’s home.  Three young children, one with asthma triggered by dog fur, together with the parents’ increasingly difficult working hours meant Nessie was left on her own, without sufficient exercise and attention, for hours at a time.  This eventually led to occasional resource guarding as well as growling and bareing of teeth.  Nessie is an active and lively dog, she loves her walks and despite never living with another animal, is playful and friendly with dogs she meets outdoors.  She’s settling in to her new, fuller life and is proving herself to be a loving and affectionate companion.
